AIBONITO'S TOWN PLAZA
The town plaza was rebuilt during the administration of Mayor José Alberto Díaz and inaugurated on May 9, 2000. The new plaza was improved architecturally. It now provides access and ramps for the handicapped, it preserved the trees of the prior plaza, and added a fountain. Antique lamps, arches, colorful native flowers, and wrought-iron benches make it aesthetically more attractive. The town's coat of arms also has been etched on a large round floor stepping stone which serves to divide one level of the plaza from the other.
