THE ALGARROBO LEANING ROCK
This rock can be seen as you drive along road 717 of " Barrio Algarrobo" in Aibonito.
As you can appreciate, the rock is on a steep hill leaning towards the road. Drivers who pass by wonder if the rock will eventually roll down the hill and cross their fingers as they pass by. The people from Aibonito who have been to the top side of the rock claim that it is very secure and will never roll.
HOW TO GET THERE
From Aibonito drive towards "Barrio Cuyon" on road #162 heading towards Salinas (#1). You will pass the national guard armory, the high school, Casa Manresa, Piedra Degetau and will start to drive down hill towards the rural schools of "Barrio Pasto". It is at the schools (there is a gas station just before them) where you will turn right on road 718 and about two kilometers further you will make a left down on road #717. Keep your eyes open and you will see the rock about a kilometer further down the road. As always, local people are very helpful and you can ask directions at "colmados" or people walking along the road.
Note: My brother and I parked the car right on the road just below the rock. We've seen the rocks there all our lives so we figured we could take the chance.
