La Parguera de Lajas, Puerto Rico
La Parguera is a small Caribbean village located in the city of Lajas, at the south-west region of the island of Puerto Rico.
Lajas has a population of approximately 24,000 inhabitants. It has a territory of 60.15 square miles. Its economy is mainly based in agriculture, fishing, clothing factories and tourism. Its most important natural resource is the Lajas Valley.

What can you do or visit here?

You may take a boat trip and visit "Los Canales". These are naturally formed pathways you can navigate through. These mangrooves serve as shelter for fish and other animals.

Visit "Caracoles" and "Mata la Gata" Islands. Both have crystal clear waters and basic facilities.
You may also visit the peaceful "Playa Rosada" or "Pink Beach".
At night you may enjoy the Bioluminiscent Bay boat trip. This bay is known for it's microorganisms that pruduce light. There are very few areas in the world that enjoy this special beauty.
There are many restaurants in the area that serve excellent and fresh sea food.
